The youth as always are great! We were able to go to Muncie on March the 4th to the High Street United Methodist Church where we had a great afternoon with their youth group. We played games, had worship, fellowship, and of course pizza. The Cross Roads Youth went to church camp with this group last year.
We have been busy completing scholarship forms and looking for fund raising opportunities to help with camp expenses. The youth are planning on going to That Thing at Epworth Forest the week of June 17th.
In Sunday school and on Wednesday night youth we have been talking about time for God, acceptance, humility, and choices. We are looking forward to continued growth and excitement. The youth did a great job on Youth Sunday and they are looking forward to the next one. On Palm Sunday they hid the Easter eggs for the children to hunt and will hide them on Saturday for the Foster Children’s Easter egg Hunt. Several of the youth helped at the Community Café at First UMC when it was Cross Roads turn to cook and serve. Thank you for helping serve the community.
As we move forward we will be planning more adventures, some fund raisers and of course learning more about what God has in store for our lives. I appreciate your continued prayers and support,
Diana Ockomon, Youth Director
